Katie Manion

Accountability and Development Manager

As Accountability and Development Manager of Williamsburg Charter High School (WCHS), Katie oversees external reporting for the school and serves as the primary contact with the WCHS Board of Trustees.

Katie brings a variety of experience to WCHS. As a freelance consultant, Katie provided research and database management for Vanguard Documentaries, New Jersey Healthcare Quality Institute (NJHQI), and Out in Alabama, a documentary celebrating LGBTQ couples in Birmingham, Alabama. She also oversaw marketing for local businesses and organizations, including, Friends and Lovers, King’s Clam Bar, and the Piccadillo Theater Company, and served as a Production Assistant on Five Finger Discount, a documentary about New York Times writer Helene Stapinski’s childhood in Jersey City.

Prior to moving to New York, Katie was as a Legislative and Regulatory Associate for the Insurance Council of New Jersey (ICNJ), a non-profit, insurance research, information and advocacy organization representing 19 New Jersey licensed property/casualty insurance companies. As an ICNJ Legislative and Regulatory Associate, Katie contributed research to the New Jersey Department of Banking (NJDOBI) which resulted in a statewide Superstorm Sandy homeowners insurance regulation.

Katie has also held internships with the University of Delaware Office of Communications, NJDOBI, and Ideasmyth, a New York-based creative consultancy.
